I work for an affordable housing advocacy organization in Connecticut that has worked with local communities in our state to create zoning allowing for mixed-income, mixed-use development.
As more towns adopt this type of zoning, the next challenge for us is help identify financing options, particularly for locations not eligible for New Markets Tax Credits. I was wondering if there are good examples from other places on creative financing mechanisms for mixed-use development.
