AHS Doubled Up Module - NAEH_SB - 11-06-2015 A population of increasing concern is those people who are living doubled up with family or non-relatives for economic reasons and who are sometimes extremely precariously housed. This living situation is the most common living situation prior to entering a homeless program. The American Housing Survey has a “Doubed Up” module to provide more detail on this population, but it has only been administered once and the data provided needs more clarity. PD&R should improve the American Housing Survey “doubled up” module and administer it at a regular frequency in order to better study this at-risk population. |
