Past Housing Development Programs
#1
I thought this might be a good place to post as I am seeking sources on past housing development programs and how their sites have affected the surrounding community in the last 20 years. I’m a doctoral student in regional development and planning. My research is based specifically on the effects of development that occurred as a result of HUD programs, such as HOPE VI. I am hoping to obtain more information on these sites today that were developed initially during the 1990s. I am still in the initial phase of research, so I am looking to choose specific case studies to focus on. Does anyone have any resources about this they can share?

To learn more about HUD's HOPE IV program, please view the following HUD website for HOPE IV background information: http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=...ope6/about. On this website you can find information about the HOPE VI grantee process, history, and background of the program.

Furthermore, HUD USER has many publications that explore various aspects of the HOPE IV programs, from case studies to implementation overviews and evaluations. To search a list of all the related publications, please use our Bibliographic Database, here: http://www.huduser.gov/portal/bibliodb/pdrbibdb.html. You may search the bibliographic database by keyword, title, year, publication category, or author.
